The real question is how many groups of 1\4 are in 2. I estimated that the answer is going to be over 1 because the numerator 2 is bigger than the denominator 1\4. To figure out the answer you put 2\1 over 1/4 like this.

Then you do 1\4 x 4\1 which is called reciprocal. You do the same thing with the numerator so 2/1 x 4/1. The answer is 8/1 or 8.
