Leif's proportion test

Part 1

Ratio: It compares different parts of a group/whole, similar to a fraction. EX: 6:7 6 blue cars to 7 white cars.
Rate:Compares two quantities measured in different units. EX:27 km/hour
Proportion: comparative relation between things.  Steve makes 20$ an hour how much money will he make a day?

Part 2
Copy these questions into your post. Answer them using proportion statements.

  1. 5 hours to travel 360 kilometers is about 72 km/h.
  2. Emma saves 28 cents of every dollar that she earns.  Emma earned $75 last week.  How much money did Emma save last week? She saved 21
  3.
  4.
  5. 3/4 = 12/16  or 4/9 = 16/32, You can use cross multiplication go vertically or horizontally.

Does this seem fair? Honestly I don't think its fair due to the fact the he returned it and surrendered himself, I think he shouldn't be given such a long sentence, but what really questions this sentence is a man stealing 3 billion dollars and only got a 40 month sentence, but I'm guessing this happened in different countries with different laws and sentences, but all in all this is very unfair.
With what you know about proportion look and read what is in the image above.  Does it seem just and fair?  This does not look fair in anyway.
  • Why have you made this choice?  Because why should a man got to jail for 40 months for stealing 3 billion than a homeless man who robbed a bank for 100$ and return it go to jail for 15 years.
  • What would you have done if you were the judge? I would of given the man who took 3 billion dollars give him 15 years and the homeless man 40 months.
